i am a masseuse and have bad pain and swelling from my thumb to my elbow.is it muscular or tendonitis?

i am a female masseuse just started working in a spa but for two days i have been experiencing severe pain in my thumb and upper forearm region im resting with ice treatment and anti inflamatories anything else i can do?how long will this last i need to go back to work.thank you

It’s coming from your line of work. Anytime you use any part of your body all of the time or most of the time like that; you are going to wear it out. Causing pain that can be unbearable.
You need to get another type of work to do that’s not using your hands like you’re doing.
I was a data entry operator for almost thirty years. It was really wearing my hands out. Then, I went to nursing school and worked at that for about twenty-one years. Even though I was using my hands in both; it wasn’t that constant pounding of the keys like in my first job.
Try to find another type of work that isn’t so hard on your hands.
